Administrative Professionals Day
Administrative Professionals’ Day is an unofficial holiday that is meant to pay tribute to the work done by administrative professionals, secretaries, assistants, and receptionists, and is observed in various countries around the world. In North America the last full week in April each year is celebrated as Administrative Professionals’ Week.
Administrative Professionals’ Day falls on the Wednesday of that week. This holiday began in 1952 as National Secretaries Week in the United States. In 2000 the IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) changed the name to Administrative Professionals’ Week, and Administrative Professionals’ Day.
