Medication administration is an important responsibility and one we take very seriously.
Medication administration (as opposed to simply reminding clients to take their meds) is an important responsibility and one we take very seriously.
Medication administration may involve storing the medication, opening the medication bottle, removing the prescribed dosage, and giving the medication to the client according to the plan of care.
If you would like one of our Certified Home Health Aides to administer medication to a loved one, that Aide must first be trained on-site by one of our Registered Nurses according to the plan of care. Only upon approval of (and with continued oversight by) the RN will we delegate this responsibility to one of our Certified Home Health Aides.
Most health care service firms do not provide this service. However, with approval and oversight by our Director of Nursing, clients and their families may avail themselves of it for an additional charge.
